Our Journey Through Financial Wellness
From a small idea in Yarrawonga to helping thousands across Australia manage financial stress and build healthier money relationships
The Beginning of Change
What started as evening conversations between friends about money stress became something bigger. We realized that most people weren't struggling with complex investment strategies – they were drowning in everyday financial anxiety. The constant worry about bills, the shame around debt, the fear of talking openly about money troubles.
Those first workshops in community centers around Yarrawonga taught us something crucial – people don't need another budgeting app. They need someone to listen without judgment and help them understand why money decisions feel so overwhelming. That's when myralovinqesto was born.
Expanding Our Reach
The demand surprised everyone, including us. What began as monthly sessions in Yarrawonga expanded across the Northern Territory, then into Queensland and New South Wales. But growth meant learning new challenges – how do you maintain that personal connection when you're helping hundreds of people instead of dozens?
We discovered that financial stress doesn't discriminate. The successful business owner worried about cash flow just like the university student stressed about textbook costs. Different numbers, same sleepless nights. This realization shaped our approach – instead of one-size-fits-all advice, we developed frameworks that adapt to individual circumstances.
Building Tomorrow's Financial Wellness
This year marks a new chapter. We're not just helping people manage money stress anymore – we're working to prevent it. Our upcoming programs focus on building financial resilience before crisis hits, and creating workplace cultures where money conversations aren't taboo.
The Australia we're building toward is one where financial wellness is as normal as physical fitness. Where asking for help with money doesn't carry shame. Where young people learn healthy money relationships before unhealthy patterns take root.
